Don't kid yourself, croco-skin was very last season.
He is not happy.
An awesome travel kit with a few of their headliner products including The O-Mega Shower Cream, The O-Mega Body Buff and The Super-Rich Body cream. Don't you love the packaging?! (Im a sucker for well wrapped goods haha).
I've been using the products for about a week now and so far one of my favourites is definitely the Body Buff - It's got a delicious lemony-citrus smell and pumice grains for exfoliation. You rub it all over your body on your dry skin and then wash it off in the shower. The first time I used it, I was genuinely very surprised and impressed at how smooth and soft my skin felt afterwards. Also the bonus of this product is that you use it twice in the first week and once a week there-after so it should last a while. Score. The write-ups on the back of these products are awesome - The Body Buff tag-line: Shed your scales. Anti-croco skin - what did I tell you?
Almost all the products contain rich oils like Almond oil, Shea butter and Avocado oil - which not only help to "lock in moisture and throw away the key" but also smell delish too.
"The Boob Tube" is one of Mama Mio's star acts and has won many awards for Best Decolletage Product. The awesome blurb on the back -
Daily use will maintain this beautiful skin and over the years you will be so pleased you took the time to befriend your bust. No crinkles or droop for you - no turtle necks or even turkey necks! You are so wise to daily dose with Boob Tube, feel free to thank us in 20 years.
Yeah, you know the wise thing to do. I've been using it for a week now and I wil say I do like the results. lol. Also all the products in the Mama Mio range are created using ingredients that are perfectly safe to use when pregnant or nursing. (NB Side Note: mom, dad, warren - i am not pregnant.)
The ladies at Mama Mio have given me a product of my choice to give away on indieBerries - and since I've really become quite enamored with my new soft skin courtesy of The Body Buff product - one lucky reader has a chance to win a full-size Shed-your-scales skincare regime.

(My fav beauty tip for winter is to use brown sugar and olive oil to exfoliate your lips. But if you win the Body Buff - you can use that instead... and you won't be all sticky. lol) Winner announced Thursday.
Fav Winter beauty tip is definietly to lather my feet in moisturiser and put on thick socks before going to bed. Means I wake up the next morning with smooth feet and it fights those dry, cracked heels you get in Winter! Also an excuse to buy cute winter socks:)
ReplyDeleteFor me the biggest problem in winter is dryness, to prevent this, after a warm shower i make sure to moisturize properly... also constantly carry around lipice, and try to continue drinking water even when its cold as dont want to be dehydrated.
ReplyDeleteYou're very lucky. I get cracked thumbs in winter and its sooooo sore.
ReplyDeleteClose bathroom door so it gets really steamy inside while showering. Then slather on the a good body oil while skin is still damp. This traps the moisture and keeps winter skin hydrated for longer. Put on the flannel jammies. Open the bathroom door and head straight for bed.Get into bed with a good book. Have the hot chocolate you made before showering. Switch off the light. Snoooooooooze.......;)
ReplyDeletemy fave winter tip is to take a long hot bath atleast once every fortnight with scented baby oil added to the water. keeps your skin hydrated. but DO NOT wash your hair in that water it WILL be saturated in oil.
ReplyDeleteMy fave winter beauty tip for chapped, dry lips is to take an old toothbrush, put vaseline or nipple cream on it (I promise you it works!) and brush the dead bits off. It leaves your lips soft and scale-free :)
ReplyDeleteMix up The Body Shop body butter and Bio oil to make a super moisturising lotion and apply every evening...
ReplyDeleteMm mm - Body Buff: just saying it is making my skin feel soft and smooth! Winter tip: Defo's on the nipple cream as lip-ice! It honestly works like no other lip-moisturiser product thingy around!
ReplyDeleteI do love winter, its so lovely to cuddle up and keep warm (maybe thats why both my boys were conceived in winter ,o) oops) But it does come with some nasties, I combat them by firstly putting some Bennets aqueous oil drops in that extra hot bath, the oil dissolves into the water and its just fabulous, then before i dry off i lather my body in moisturizer to lock in the moisture, i add a extra thick layer to my legs and feet and roll on those cute extra long (knee high) socks, i slather on some tissue oil onto my lips, keeps them extra kissable, hmmm and all that kissing is a wonderful exfoliation especially if hubby has a little stubble ,o) then lastly on the weekend when im not planning on going anywhere, i coat my hair in coconut oil, trust me it will thank you, hair gets super dry in winter too. Dont forget the wonders of drinking lots of water, i know its difficult in winter, but a good cup of caffeine free tea will hydrate you just as well, or thats what i tell myself anyway... here is too a fabulous winter everyone....
ReplyDeletemy ultimate winter beauty tip is OLIVE OIL!!! use it for EVERYTHING. i know it sounds like a hassle but it works. To multitask your hands and hair, heat a cup or so in a bowl and smooth on your hair, massaging your scalp. use the excess for the strands and then wrap your head up and chill for an hour before washing as normal. whats awesome about this is that after you covered your head, you have some lovely oil that sunk into your hands. just push back cuticles and cover with gloves. promise you will have lovely shiny hair AND soft and smooth hands:) also for delicious soft lips while you wait for the oil to sink in, a bit of honey on the lips nourishes and adds some shine. just don't lick it all off!
ReplyDeletecoconut oil for your hair is awesome. Cover your hair with it in the evening, leave it on overnight. Make sure you wrap your hair in a towel (toga-style, it's hot) so that you don't end up with oil all over your pillow, and then just wash as you would normally in the morning. It's great coz the coconut oil washes out easily and doesn't leave your hair looking or feeling greasy at all.
ReplyDeleteAs a Rhodes University student, Che I know you know what Grahamstown winter can do to your skin and your hair, and your belly, your eyes and pretty much everything . =/ I could so totally use this amazing skin range! =D My favorite winter tip, is covering my hair (And, yeah, okay fiiiiinee I'll admit- even my whole body sometimes- When Desperate) with coconut oil. Afraid to say however that this Grahamstown winter is probably winning. Help me? I don't think The Mustard Seed has enough Coconut Oil for my croc legs. =(
ReplyDeletePick me, this is an awesome giveaway!!!!
ReplyDeleteFav winter tip is to make own moisturising scrub with almond oil, brown sugar and rose petals.
ooooooo LOVE !!!! The best winter trick i was taught - and this will sound weird - use Elizabeth Ann's lavender aqueous cream as a "soap" in the bath / shower - great smell and gorgeous moisturised skin :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I'm probably too late for the comp but best winter trick is use your body lotion (or baby oil - yum) while you're still warm and a little damp after your bath/shower.
