exactly like this:
You see, the Olympic Torch Relay was coming down Garrett Lane, which is approximately 37 metres from where we live. The torch was said to pass down Garrett Lane at approx 5:30 in the afternoon. So I went out and stood with the masses at around 5:15 and waited for the procession to start. Only at about 5:20 did I realise that iPhone Battery was near-death. But the dilemma ensued of whether to try and rush back home to get my SLR, lose my spot (at the front of the crowd) and potentially miss the Torch Relay altogether, or stay in the good spot on the street that I had nabbed and potentially miss catching any of it on camera due to iDeath.
I opted to stay in the street and put my faith in Apple that the phone wouldn't die before the torch came past. And...
OLLEH! The phone survived:
Even managed to get a little video in of the Torch Carrier getting out the van:
Viva La Olympics!
How awesome are my rings?
The olympic committee should totally hire me.
Olympic Fever has set in, I see.
ReplyDeletewow, your photos came out better than most official ones. Good choice- and you're so lucky it was near you!
ReplyDeleteohh, you got better photos than I did, good idea not to lose your spot, I was behind a few people when we saw it and they just annoyed me lol
