I thought I would break a little from the traditional "Fun fact Friday" posts to share 5 fun facts you didn't know about ME!
(Above: this is me. and that is my name. yep - that's it. Not short for anything. It has an accent on the é. If I was a boy, my parents were planning on naming me Preston. Turns out, I'm not a boy.)
1. I have designed stage sets.
At the English Village, where I worked in South Korea for three and a half years, there was a children's theatre where children's actors performed English musicals to entertain/educate Korean kids. They often called on me to help design and create their stage sets. It was actually a lot of fun to see your own art work come to life on such a big scale!
2. School Subjects:
In high school, I studied English, Afrikaans, Maths, Science, Biology, Speech and Drama and Advanced Mathematics. I never studied art. Looking back at how my life has panned out - it would have been way more beneficial to me had I taken art and accounting at school. (creative + business). I have NO idea what "tax" actually even is - but I can multiply and compute the crap out of three dimensional matrix mathematics.
which is fantastic really - because every night, the dark overlords kidnap me from my bed and take me to their dungeon. They only set me free every morning, because I am successfully able to answer their three-dimensional matrix multiplication problems.
SHEW. Lucky I have that skill.
3. Eyeballs.
My eyes are slightly different colours. It was a lot more pronounced when I was younger and my mom even offered me corrective lenses if I wanted. I used to joke that it was "one eye from my mom (brown) and one eye from my dad (green)". Over the years, my eyes have become more of the same colour - although it is sometimes quite noticeable if I am tired or emotional. weird.
4. Birthdays.
I have celebrated my birthday on five of the seven continents. Which means, I am due for a birthday trip to Antarctica. Hashtag Penguins.
5. Tests
I LOVE tests. Especially personality tests or relationship tests or any kind of thing which gives me a slightly better understanding of who I am and how I function. I am an ENFJ, a type 2 personality and my strongest love languages are words of affirmation and quality time. I'm always keen to try more tests like this (send any my way if you have them!) and sometimes I even force husband to do them too. He loves it as much as appeases me.
So those are some things about me - tell me something about you!
You rock my world! Love this. Also next time we get together I'm gonna be staring at your eyes. A lot! Haha x
ReplyDeleteAlso you completely lost me on that 3D Maths stuff. What the even....??
ReplyDeleteAh! I always thought you were an INFP! Close though!
ReplyDeleteAwesomes! Its funny how things pan out along the way isn't it? But i have to say, maths is a pretty swell thing to be good at! I'd love to have an intelligent talent! Haha! Unlucky for me!
ReplyDeletefadedwindmills.blogspot.co.uk
haha so funny you say that! The percentage difference between my I v E and P v J is usually very small whenever I do this test! :)
ReplyDeletelet me add: 6 distinctions... and 64% for add maths.
ReplyDeleteunfrotunately it's only complicated maths that I can do... simple maths like adding up prices and numbers.. i pull out the fingers. (and toes).
ReplyDeleteI am the complete opposite at maths. I am absolutely useless. When I do homework with Zoe I always pass the maths bit over to dad. I'm that bad! Also, I am seriously accident prone... I've broken each wrist twice, my collar bone, multiple fingers (from water polo) and multiple toes (clumsy). I have also had 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my foot and hand (long story involving a flaming pot of pop corn). To top it all off I broke my neck in high school after swan diving into a shallow pool! My poor folks!
ReplyDeleteHashtag lol. Here's a test for you. I got Natalie Portman and it made my week: http://games.usvsth3m.com/who-would-play-you/
ReplyDeleteHaha!!
ReplyDeleteYou continually become my favourite posts!
ReplyDeleteThese are such awesome facts!! Those stage sets are pretty impressive and I can't believe you didn't take Art - and that's one super clever subject package! Clever clogs Che! And birthdays on all the different continents - jealous right there!
