The aim of Girls, on a Mission is to sow happiness, love and a sense of sisterhood amongst girls from different races, backgrounds and faiths. We aim to unite the young women of South Africa within their diversity, and bring together girls from all walks of life.

During October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Girls On a Mission have started the B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Old Bra) campaign and they are aiming to collect "gently used" bras to donate to a shelter for young girls in Hillbrow. Many of the young women at this Hillbrow shelter have run away from home to escape from domestic abuse.

So, ladies!
(and men, if you are "that way" inclined)

Dig through your drawers and go search for any bras that are:

or any bras that you have "fallen out of love with" or could do without -
to donate to this worthy cause.

You don't need to be South African or living in South Africa to participate in this initiative -

simply send off your old/gently used bras to :

  5. Was just clearing out my pre-baby underwear drawer and wondering what to do with all my hardly-worn-and-still-so-pretty-but-now-entirely-the-wrong-size bras. For real! One times bag of support heading for Jozi in the morning.
