A crazy story...

So I have a few crazy stories and this is one that I decided to put into a little cartoon strip for a memoir journal that I'm busy making. I dedicate this blog post to Jaclyn Kina Pratt.

DO NOT try this at home.
For anyone interested in the contents of this cartoon ... email me.

Just because you're 25...

I received some lovely red roses from my family on my birthday:
Dom is my neighbour:

(It's true. You should cut your flowers)

Remember, just because you are older it does not necessarily mean you are wiser.

Alice Inspired...

A few photographs and quotes inspired by Alice in wonderland

"I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!" - Alice Kingsley.

The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad?
Alice: I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.

"You used to be much more..."muchier." You've lost your muchness. " - The Mad Hatter.

"We're all mad here." - The Chesire Cat.

Alice: This is impossible.
The Mad Hatter: Only if you believe it is.

"It would be so nice if something made sense for a change." - Alice.

"Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop." - The King.

"Take care of the sense, and the sounds will take care of themselves." - The Duchess.

" I make the path! " - Alice.

Watch Alice in Wonderland, or even better - go to a library and read the book.

7 ideas to keep yourself inspired...

1. Find a song you like and then try and find interesting pictures or images that link to that song, it can be as literal, abstract or obscure as you like. Like this.

2. Take a blank page, close your eyes and draw a self portrait. Don't take your pen off the paper, Don't open your eyes and Don't worry about the results.

3. Browse photography websites such as "we heart it" or "beauty in everything" and search for images relating to random keywords.

4. Use internet tools such as Stumble Upon to find websites that are catered to your tastes and interests. Explore them all...

5. Make lists. 10 things you want to do "when you grow up", 5 things to do before you die, 7 books you still have to read, 6 places you want to visit, 9 people who have inspired you...

6. Write a letter. It can be to a friend, a lover, your pets or your future self. Not an email, a real paper letter.

7. Read my blog :)

Fling before the Ring

A quick invitation I did for my friend Laura's bachelorette.
It was a fantastically fun night...

Have a ladies night, or a boys night out.
