from the eye of my phone.
I've been really getting into the whole babysitting vibe. Ask me what I did yesterday? Oh ok, I'll tell you - First I was a pirate who had to steal a stash of gold coins - only after we had laid out all the gold coins in a line on the floor because... obviously. Then i read a thousand Little Miss Books and a few nursery rhyme books thrown in for good measure, we sang a few songs (badly) then we made some epic sock puppets using Warren's old socks (details to follow, thanks warra), I hosted a puppet-show, then I undressed and redressed some barbies and drove them in their car to the imaginary shop (bearing in mind there was not enough space for everyone so 'the bad girl' (the brunette) had to walk. lol), next I made a "cheesy-melt" sandwich for lunch and then went on a search for the birds nest we had found last week, whilst on the way to school.

London, you are so pretty when the sun shines - let's do that more often. thanks, che.

snapping frenzy. iLOVE iLOVE!!
So I have finally gotten a little iFriend (yay!! yay!!) - and bear with me... I think I will probably be posting about this for several weeks since that's how long its taken me to get an iPhone (I blame it on Korea). Anyway yesterday I took some pictures using iFriend for Nicoles birthday and I also opened a US itunes account - using this link found on 2oceansvibe (it works. I'm now Cathie from Texas).
First: Pictures from Nicoles birthday breakfast - (I know they are a little blurry- i was just too excited)
muffins, croissants, strawberries + blueberries (my contribution), scrambled eggs + avo + cheese + peppers + tortilla = breakfast burritos, coffee and rooibos tea. deelish.
Birthday girl
Now... I have been lusting over the Hipstamatic app for at least 5 months - (and half the reason I convinced myself i needed an iphone) So i (aka Cathie Taylor from Texas) signed onto the itunes store and finally made the purchase ($1.99).
I also purchased CrossProcess (99c) and ShakeIt photo (99c). Here are some of the results -
my coffee.
A water shooter into the fountain
Lovely Laura waiting for our students...
The English Village Tram
Jules - our English Rose
the fountain. tis grand
Kristi's yarn
the ground. (Laura's picture. not mine)
kristi and i - (me very overly excited about iphone.
me: I'm so excited!!!
Laura: I know, you're speaking in your ogre voice.)
Testing out the reverse camera. (im so freaking fancy with a freaking reverse camera)
Blake. He is also fancy.
The statue outside my house
Tea time
Drinks and snacks for Colie's Birthday
little love bear
me and i heart mustard scarf
Oh i'm in love with iFriend! All the above pictures are a mash-up of photos using The three different photography apps - Hipstamatic, CrossProcess and ShakeIt Photo. (once again I got overly excited and forgot to keep track of which photos were taken with which app)
I will do a proper review post soon on these photo apps.
(So far I have found that I like CrossProcess most of all since it is very easy to use and change settings. The Hipstamatic interface is slightly annoying and the ShakeIt Photo produces the least noticeable results but they all have awesome/different effects.)
iLove iLove!
Just go buy an iPhone. haha. no problem.

CSI
I have this 'little' craft project on the go at the moment. So currently my apartment looks like a stationery store threw up all over the place. Example:
In fact there is so much stuff (and also crap) lying around that every time I walk into my room I feel like it's some kind of crime scene.
Clean your house. OR... start a craft project to make the clutter and junk feel necessary.
PS. This is the last week to vote in the South African Blog awards. You can vote every 24 hours. I would really appreciate your support! Thank you.

My brother is so awesomely cool
i got this email from my brother. He is so awesomely cool. Since Korea is currently out of stock of iphones he is trying to get my mind off it's awesomeness. This picture shows that iphone cannot show flash.
Speaking of awesome superheroes... I had a kid in my debating class yesterday who was drawing the most awesome superhero cartoons (clearly not paying attention) anyway when he saw me creeping on him he said "OH TEACHER! CAN YOU GUESS?! CAN YOU GUESS?!" and then i decided that his cartoons were so awesome (and i told him) that I made him draw them again in my book so that I could have a copy. haha. Being a teacher has it's benefits...
CAN YOU GUESS?! CAN YOU GUESS?!
and finally... this is me and my awesome brother being awesome:
Be an awesome superhero for the day. Awesome.
