Super Genius

I just did a bit of HTML coding. Wow i feel so FREAKING GENIUS when it actually works. (mind you I only added 5 words)

The coding that I added was at the end of each post so that readers can share any post via email, facebook, blogger or twitter.... so feel free to test it out! ;)

Black Eye

Tonight I have been schooled in the art of make up by my lovely friends Laura and Rachel.

We had a lot of colours (given to me by the lovely Laura for my birthday - thank you Laura)

The colour palette names (from far right) are:

* Dinner in Paris

* Coffee in New York

* Shopping in Milan

* Tango in Buenos Aires

* Clubbing in Tokyo

They had to draw diagrams to make sure I got it right.

Rachel gave me a black eye. har har.

Don't listen to your mother.

I spoke to my mom and dad last night:

Mom: oh Che! I love your blog! It's so funny! (Dad in background: yes! i keep it open on my computer all day!) but i really like your cartoons. actually i only like those ones. When i see those other random pictures i think.. urrgghh.... skip... some people may like that but i don't -you should only do cartoons - it's just like so your style!

Me: yes i know - they are the most viewed posts, but mom, they actually take me quite a long time to do - i need to put other stuff in so that i can update my blog with something new every day.

Mom: ...but then just don't draw so many pictures for each cartoon! Just draw like one picture.

Me: um... well it's really tough to get comic timing in a non-verbal way... sometimes you need to have a few pictures to give people time to absorb it....  comic timing on the internet is actually really difficult!

Mom: yes but just draw one picture for each. then you can have time to make more cartoons!! More people like the cartoons....they are funny.

Me: ok mom.. i don't think you get it.

Mom: no! i do!  just try! just try draw one picture!

Me: Ok. Fine.

Now you see. That wasn't funny at all.

I thought so.

Pretty Paper

The other day, I did nothing. The whole day...nothing, except change from my pyjama's into my gym clothes (approximately 3pm) and subsequently found out the gym was closed.

I made paper.

Since it was the ONLY thing I achieved in this day, I thought I would share it...

Step 1: First I took some pictures of flowers I took in Greece and applied some photoshop duo-toning techniques that I talked about here. I then cut them out using an eraser brush - (and it's very roughly done - but it's ok cause it will just help to build texture)

Next I opened a clear photoshop page and googled for some Lorem Ipsum text. (It's a real thing, I didn't make that up). I pasted some text onto the page and created a new fill layer of blue and blended the two layers together.

After this I took some pictures of old note paper and laid it on top and played around with the blending options until I got something I liked. (I talked about this technique here)

Added the flowers and some grungy scratch brushes over everything.....and... VIOLA!

Easy!
