If you'll recall, after our epic engagement - I couldn't sleep at all and was WIDE awake at 3am. Decided to wake up The Warra -




My folks bought us THE DELUXE WEDDING PLANNING AND ORGANIZER. It's awesome. And Pretty Freaking Massive. It's got everything.


Boys are not expecting a wedding planning file of this magnitude. Boys get very nervous when they are handed a wedding planning book that's the size of their face.

On the other hand I have found moodboards to be very useful. I've done a few here and there to let others (read warren) see what's in my mind. You see, I'm the girl with the visions, and he's the man with the plan. It's a good match. Maybe I'll share a few of the one's I've done so far... depending on how secretive I'm feeling. (read i probably won't ha). Here are a few wedding websites that have some awesome moodboards of various "things"

Dessy also has an awesome site where you can create your own "styleboards". Sign-up is free and the style boards are really fun and easy to create - you can just drag on your pictures and resize them on the board and choose which pictures you want in front or at the back. You can use a collection of their images in the colours you are after or you can create a board by uploading your own images. Awesome.

At this point in the indieBerries-wedding-planning fiasco, it is safe to say that there is not a single wedding blog in the entire internet-galaxy that I have not seen. Upon my wedding-blog travels I've come across some amazing things - I wanted to share these two engagement stories I saw - The first was on the Etsy Blog - from a guy who was proposing to his wheel-chair bound girlfriend and proposed using a cute cartoon video that he made -

The second was a guy who asked his girlfriend to marry him at Moyo restaurant and he got the Moyo face-painters to paint a "Will you marry me?" on the forehead of his fiance-to-be. haha Found on the Little Pink Book blog  - and you can read about the story here.



Now, I may be little biased - but NOTHING beats this engagement story RIGHT HERE :)

A few random snaps of one of my art journals that I took whilst I was packing up from Korea and moving back home to South Africa.











it was quite a big bulging book (and yes, that is some of my hair in the pic above) - so this is how i wrapped it for packing -

quite ingenious if I do say so myself.

We have a rather large entourage of "little-peoples" in our bridal party. So far, counting all the nieces and cousins, we have 6 excited little flower-girls and one little pageboy. They're all cute and the more the merrier! My Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids will probably be running around sorting out all kinds of other things - So I've decided to ask my two older cousins to head up the "junior-bridal party" and make sure all the little angels remain angelic for as long as possible. Ashlea and Lauren are a bit young for bridesmaids, but I've done a bit of reading and it's common to include younger family members as a junior bridal party head- kind of a "junior bridesmaid". I made some cards and gifts for them to ask for their help on the day.

 

washi tape - can never have enough washi tape.  

I distressed some yellow paper with Tim Holtz ink around the edges (tea dye colour) and used an old music sheet stamp to give it a bit of texture. I also added a gold doily and put their gifts into a brown bag and sealed them with some washi tape.

Cards and gifts for my bridesmaids are in progress :)
