i WANT.

Wednesday is my birthday - you know, that vexatious day when you have to adjust all your blogger/twitter/facebook bios to make yourself one extra number wiser. I love birthdays. I love OTHER people's birthdays, but quite honestly i find my own birthday pretty awkward. People wanting to celebrate and make a fuss over you when you haven't done anything to deserve the hoo-ha other than survive another 365 days.

In my opinion and in the ideal world of che, there would be yearly achievement celebrations. These celebrations may occur more than once in a year (or if you've been a useless sod - then [sorry-for-you] not at all.) Then people making a fuss and having a celebration in your honour would be totally justified and you can partake whole-heartedly without feeling guilty that you didn't do anything to deserve it, other than breathe a few thousand times.

For example:
"Wow Che! You watered all your plants for almost 2 months and they are all still alive!"
Photobucket
"Wow Che! You made a meal that required real vegetables. And! you fed it to people without killing anyone!"
Photobucket
Other examples may include:
"Today you went almost 2 hours without the internet! I'm so proud of you! Let's celebrate!"
"You've been to gym consistently for 2 whole weeks. Without even throwing up a lung or death! Let's celebrate!"
"You dealt with a nosebleed in class today without passing out! Let's Celebrate!"
"You managed to do all your banking online without recruiting the help of anyone!"
(just kidding, that would never happen. no party for you.)

Anyway, I made a birthday celebration want list:

(i'm not this demanding in real life, i promise.
...Sometimes i actually don't know where this stuff comes from?!) I digress.

Yeah, i love these. They are camera bags that are so beautiful that they pass for handbags. Lovely for lovely lasses who have big cameras and lenses to lug about. Jo Totes has a gorgeous range and so does Epiphanie. (The bags in the above picture are Jo Totes)

An Illustrated Life by Danny Gregory - basically a collection of art journals from different artists, illustrators and designers from around the world. I love the mash up of styles and artwork. I have The Creative License and I really enjoy his relaxed fun style. (I'm a book creep, i know)

aaaah. THIS. STUDIO. Makes me want to sit and stare at my computer for 365 days until the next yearly celebration. Teesha Moore creates amazing and eclectic art journals and also does retreat workshops. Her craft studio is incredible. You can see more pictures of her gallery here.
