{Wedding} Letters from Strangers

 photo ourwedding_zps0d13643a.jpg

Today's blog post is a strange one - but I wanted to share it on indieBerries mainly for keepsake-one-for-the-grandkid-purposes.

At Our Wedding, I received many (many) compliments about the day, the vibe, the everything. One of Warren's newly-(ish) married friends approached me at the wedding to tell me how "everything he has seen (today) has made him want to re-ignite the relationship he has with his wife."

Another woman (married to one of Warren's friends) came up to me, introduced herself and said "I don't really know many people here and I've been to many weddings - (all my friends are married) - so that's really saying something, but I just want to tell you that this is by far the best wedding I have ever been to."

When I got back from honeymoon, I chatted again to some bridesmaids, local friends and received emails from my friends who told me how much fun they had had at the wedding -

"Ché, your wedding was... well, slightly unreal it was so perfect, to be honest. Just so, so full of love, happiness, beauty, and bliss. You just radiated utter joy, and it made you even more beautiful than you already are."
"....
I LOVED all the personal touches..."
"...
And don't even get me started on the speeches! All so lovely, heartfelt, funny and so very touching. When you got to the part in your speech that went: "Thank you for waiting for me, even though I told you not to..." the tears were streaming down my face..."

"Thank-you so much for having me with you on your special day. Chédle, it truly was the most beautiful occasion - from Warren's moist chapel eyes and the parental banter during the speeches to Moroccan magic and that funny moment where no one wanted 'hey ho' to end while we all gazed adoringly at your and Warren's radiance!
When I look at you and Warren together, I feel so content: so pleased that you have found your soul mate and, you make me so excited to fall in love! Crazy in love, sunglasses, peace signs and backbend kissing crazy"

These comments, emails, words and messages have made me so completely happy - like in some way - validates the things I already know and feel. And then, just last week I received an email in my inbox from a stranger - which I have asked to share with you {verbatim}:
Hey Che
So I’ve been thinking of how to address this email for a very long period of time, I thought dear was way too formal but yet ‘hi’ was not applicable. You most probably totally used to these long and painful emails from fans and admirers, but I decided this had to be done as you actually changed my attitude towards this rad thing we call life.
It all started at your wedding, which I think to you was life changing as well. I know what’s going through your mind, “oh goodness, freaky wedding crasher vibes happening.” Don’t worry, I was one of the waitresses and sadly I left a little early so I didn’t get to meet you because it was my second wedding that day and my exhaustion was beyond explanation. But this is all beside the point; You and Warren gave me such a meaning to life. I am going to try my best to explain, but I’ve never been the best at putting things into words.
I went through reading all your ‘Firsts’ on your blog this Thursday and I realised your wedding was my first time I had ever realised that love is real and can make people as happy as you were. I come from a past of a terrible and unfresh divorce where love seems almost non-existent, you completely made me feel like it was possible, it really is there and all that it entails is patience, perseverance and love, obviously. Not only did your love change how I’ve looked at things but you’re amazing and peachy attitude you have towards life. I have worked at over a dozen weddings yet none of the brides have been as happy and worry free as you were. Your smile never left and neither did the smiles of the guests because honestly I think you and Warren touched everybody’s lives in that evening.
Lastly I would just like to thank you for being so cool in making me discover that even though my parents didn’t prove it to me, you and Warren have. I will never stop following your blog and your twitter, its my highlight of my day and possibly the reason I never finish my prep.
I hope your visa all plans out and that you’ll reunite with Warren as soon as possible.
Lots of wishesGina Arntzen

This email gave me goosebumps and literally made me shed a tear.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to email me Gina - I appreciate it more than you know. And thank you for letting me put it up on indieBerries -

To Warren, high-five!
Thank you, for making me the happiest I have ever been-
I'm so in love.

Wow. It must mean so much to you that your attitude towards life has actually made someone believe in love. Big wow. Who we are in the world really does impact those around us, in small, radiating, unseen ways. Big virtual high-five! and I hope that my husband to-be and I can share the same kind of loving, shiny, sparkly, it-will-all-be-okay-even-when-it's-hard happiness in our wedding in August - because that's just awesome.

What a lovely story! Totally agree - your energy and love it steeped in everything you do...all those lovely handmade invites and gorgeous gift wrapping...you pour yourself into that in an age where most would just grab something generic off the shelf. wishing you a long and wonderful marriage!

Which is truly all there exists to it. The Frisky and xoJane run these "eww what folks do to annoy me" kind of articles in heavy rotation and it is
much more annoying than whatever annoying behavior
they're speaking about. What I do not get is why sit there and allow yourself to become annoyed by a circumstance which is easily fixable.

You are correct Greg about the lemon pH,
but baking soda is a neutralizer against all acids, so
the pH combo of lemon and baking soda will be a lot more of base,
or neutral pH. The lemon oil will want to be washed off with bar soap, considering
that only soap will wash the lemon oil off on the tooth.
Tooth paste will not; info for all your lemon eaters
too.
You can also used the combo, which wasn't mentioned inside the article, of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. I have been using that for years with wonderful success. It is easy to produce a paste to brush with.
