At the end of the Kitchen Tea, the moms, aunts and family left and we entered into the Bachelorette Part of the festivities. The theme for the Bachelorette: Mardi Gras and Kerry-le-maid-of-honour had gotten in one of her local artist friends Shana to paint our faces Mardi Gras style -

That small little thing in Kerry's hand?
That's the entire top half of my outfit.
To go out in.
In public.
yes, really.
Once the girls had had their faces painted we were dropped off on Florida Road for some cocktails. After a cocktail or two (and a shooter, maybe) we made our way back to Kerry's house where they had filled her apartment with all things Mardi Gras -

Me and Kez
In our old age - it's been an extremely long time since we've all headed "out on the town" like this - So we totally maxed it out - We drank, we partied, we danced, we laughed, we sang at the top of our lungs. I took my shoes off and woke up with stiff abs from doing bicycle crunches in da club. Yeah. bicycle crunches. Well done, drunk self. Well done.
And that, my friends, is how you get a 2 day hangover.
