{Guest Post} For the Easily Distracted

 photo guestbloggers_zps10c503ef.gif
If you have been following indieBerries for a while, you may know my (small) obsession with film photography. There is something about film that captures moments and memories in a way that digital cameras just can. not. If you don't believe me - have a look at my Lomo London post or my Reading Festival Snaps or some old pics from the Philippines with my Diana F+ that have some awesome double exposures. (Even the pic above is an unedited film pic from Warr's 1960s Kodak coloursnap)

I'm not sure what it is about film that I love so much - it could be the raw-graininess that makes each picture feel so gritty and real, it could be the "preciousness" of each photo, it could be the unpredictability of the film/camera/light/subject combo or maybe it's just the pure excitement of waiting to collect your pictures from the lab at the end of a roll of film.

When I first started playing around with film photography I scoured the internet for other people who were also into using film cameras and came across one of my favourite photo-blogs ever - For the Easily Distracted - I remember seeing that name come up and thinking "haha lol. that's totally me"
*CLICK*

And that is how I came across today's guest blogger!

Rhianne blogs from Leeds, England and her blog is filled with the most gorgeous analogue photography of her life and the beautiful things around her. She has an army of cameras that i've VERY jealous of! She is super knowledgable about film/camera/lighting etc and informed me that the cool "swishings" that appeared on some of my film photos were due to me swinging the camera around on my arm. haha -  def gonna try some more of that very scientific arm-swingin' technique! Today she is sharing some of her gorgeous photos with us!

Hey Indieberries lovers! My name's Rhianne and I'm so excited to be here on Che's blog - I can't even remember how I found Indieberries now but I've been a huge fan of Che for what feels like years. Che even wrote an amazing guest post for me about Paris last year, so it seems only fair that I repay the favour.

I would have loved to be sharing a doodle, or something hilarious (like Che does so often) but after thinking about it, I realised that I just wasn't as funny or artistically talented as she is... (its ok, I'm alright with that... honest) so instead I'm sharing something I am good at - photos. And photos of one of my favourite places too - Kirkstall Abbey.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these, it was a beautiful day and I tried to catch as much of that beauty and light as I could.

 And Che and Warr - I hope you have a truly amazing wedding day and honeymoon, I'm looking forward to seeing the gorgeousness that I know will be your wedding photos.

Rhianne x

If you are thinking of getting into film photography - Rhianne's blog has an awesome "photos by camera" category so you can have a look at the kind of pictures each camera takes and see which kind you like the most. { DO IT }

PS. Let me just tell you - Rhianne snapped these amazing pics on a Canon EOS 750 that she found in a charity shop for £3.99.
